Spirit of Japantown 2009, San Jose

The Spirit of Japantown 2009 was held from 10am-5pm on September 26, 2009. Fun, food and entertainment were presented on the 8 blocks surrounding the heart of San Jose Japantown at 5th Street and Jackson Street. This is one of the last three major Japantowns in the U.S.!

The festival featured live music and dance entertainment, food, wine, sake, anime, arts and crafts, flowers and plants, martial arts demonstrations, woodblock demonstrations, an import car show, cultural exhibits, an ECO-Zone, a Kids Activity Zone, and performances by the San Jose Metropolitan Band and San Jose Taiko.
