Notes
  • 7th Heaven -- IMHO one of the best family shows ever.  You simply have to check it out!  It airs on " The WB" on Mondays at 8:00 P.M.
  • The Practice -- Well, I never watched this show until I saw that it won an Emmey. A riveting courtroom drama (and I wasn't really even into courtroom shows).
  • The Hallmark Hall of Fame presentations -- These recurring movies are character studies which usually seem rather slow, but leave you with a solid emotional impact.
  • Christmas in Washington -- This Christmas music celebration usually airs in the first week of Dec. on NBC.  It is attended by the President and the First Lady, and usually features maybe 4 guest soloists, special host(s), 2-3 choirs, an orchestra with piano and organ, and the Army Herald trumpets.  The finale with everyone joining in is spectacular! (especially in hi-fi stereo)
  • How the West Was Won -- James Arnes of "Gunsmoke" fame played Zebulan McCahan
  • The Mod Squad -- the theme song was written in 13/8 meter
  • Name of the Game -- was a weekly 1&1/2 hour movie, starring Gene Barry as Glen Howard,CEO of Howard Publications; Tony Franciosa as Jeff Dillon, writer for "People Magazine" (yes, before the now-current People magazine came into existence!); assisted by Susan Saint-James as his girl-Friday Peggy Maxwell; and Robert Stack as Dan Farrell, editor for "Crime Magazine".
