More about me...
I was born and raised in Sacramento, the state capitol of
California. My main avocation growing up was playing trumpet
in the Sacramento Youth Band. The band made trips all over the
state, playing for sit-down concerts, parades and halftime
shows. I enjoyed bicycling, and my first mode of motorized
transportation was a Honda 100 motorcycle. I found
it hard to stay off the trails, even with my schoolbooks
and trumpet on the back rack.
After graduating with a degree in Computer Science from
California State University, Sacto., I moved to the Silicon
Valley where I've been ever since. I have worked in the
computer industry, doing both software technical support and
programming. Currently I am between jobs, training in
some new technologies.
My main passion is music. I currently play in a couple of bands.
One is an 8-member traditional jazz band, the
South Bay Stompers,
and the other is the 45-piece
San Jose Metropolitan Band,
(I've also served for 6 years in various capacities on the
band's board of directors, and designed both bands' first Web presences.)
While traditional jazz is my favorite type of music,
I also enjoy a wide range of musical styles and genres.
In addition to the two bands, I have also played in
church orchestras, big bands and community musical theatre productions.
Besides music, other interests include volleyball, bicycling,
tennis, festivals, photography, old movies, sightseeing, etc.
And, oh yes, I've not been married (yet?!) and consider myself
honest, sincere, kind, intelligent, rather conservative with
a good sense-of-humor. I have a youthful attitude and really
enjoy kids and pets (with none of my own).
Thank you for stopping by my web site...I hope you enjoy it.
Please email me with any
comments, etc.
