You Flower Children: take a journey back to a time of Love and War, of Haight and Peace. Put that 45 RPM adapter on your record changer and stack up six 45's. Better adjust that black light (actually, I never did have one). Go ahead, crank up the volume.
	Listed here are mainly singles from the late '60's, a time when I first enjoyed listening to the pop tunes on the radio (OK, you will find a few songs from some other decades here also). Sure, having this "time-in-my-life" connection with my teen years did bias my likings, but there was some good music also. There were nice melodies and harmonies, and great orchestrations featuring horns and strings.
The songs encompassed a wide spectrum, from bubblegum ditties as "I'm Gonna Make You Mine", to emotional love and loss songs as "Soul Deep" and "Goodbye To Love" (which featured an exceptional quitar solo along with the lovely voice of Karen Carpenter) and on to social statements in tunes as "Ride, Captain Ride" and "One Tin Soldier". So, man, trip out back to the '60's on that magic carpet ride. Groovy!
